Please know that these BlendJet portable blenders don't last long. They claim to be waterproof, but I'm pretty sure mine stopped working because the charging port corroded after repeated washing. I never submerged it, and washed it as instructed, yet after only three months, it simply refused to charge. At first, it would give me just a pulsating purple ring that would stay that way for hours. Yes, I checked (many times) to make sure it wasn't locked. Eventually, the pulsating purple ring crapped out as well. Every time I plug the blender in now, I'm greeted with no light whatsoever. It's basically dead.
Remembering I had bought another BlendJet for a friend of mine, I opened it up to find it didn't work at all. I plugged it in and fully charged it, yet when I attempted to use it, the blender told me the battery was dead, even though I'd just charged it. Yes, the arrows were perfectly aligned. I plugged it back in and, to my dismay, was greeted by yet another pulsating purple ring. I went through the motions again, checking several times to make sure it wasn't locked, yet every time I plugged it in, I'd get the same pulsating purple light. It just refuses to charge and is therefore completely useless.
To reiterate and clarify, I checked many times to make sure both blenders were unlocked. Yes, the arrows on the blender base and blender cup were aligned every time on both units. I even left both units plugged in for over a day, yet they still didn't charge. Basically, one crapped out after just three months while the other never worked to begin with.
I now have two $45.00 paperweights because the second one, which didn't work fresh out of the box, was beyond its return period. That's $90.00 wasted because these things are just cheap crap. Save your money and go with a different brand.
