Minister for Education, Norma Foley opens the second day of Young Adult Book Festival 2020 with a positive message for all young adults. In this short clip Norma speaks about engaging with writers', artists and the world of literature as their works are a source of light and hope in our lives.
Norma shares some wonderful quotes, on this year's theme 'Hope', by playwright Samuel Becket, singer Leonard Cohen and poet Emily Dickinson, and reflects that the comfort and consolation that such words bring can be a source of hope and positivity, while living through the covid pandemic.
She also shares the message; culture offers us an uplifting lens, which we can draw upon, enjoy and share.
