Proclus of Constantinople, On Holy Friday, the Cross, and Bandit [CPG 4062]

A reading--within the limitations of Fair Use--from my recently published collection of translations of ancient Greek and Latin sermons on the Good Thief, otherwise known as Saint Dysmas. Each of these sermons contains a blend of classical training in rhetoric with spiritual depths and literary creativity. Many of them were enormously popular Good Friday sermons in Late Antiquity and throughout the Middle Ages, and yet had never been translated into English, until now.
