Laticrete Hydro Ban Shower Wall Application Process 2021

Laticrete has a Mil thickness gauge, that I got for free at my tile wholesale store, and you should use this gauge to make sure you have the correct thickness of of Hydroban on your shower walls and shower pan.

Hydro Ban is sold at most tile stores, like ProSource Wholesale Flooring, Dal Tile, Marrazi, The Tile Shop, and usually cost about $430 after tax for a 5 gallon container. Laticrete Hydro Ban is much easier to install than the orange Schluter liner, and can be applied to any shape, niche, bench, wall, or ceiling, especially in the case of a steam shower. It's as easy as troweling on or painting on the liquid shower waterproofing. Don't forget to achieve the correct thickness of the material.
