Discovering You're Autistic

Discovering You're Autistic is a short animated film that explores what it means to be Autistic through a neuro-affirming lens underpinned by the social model of disability. Created by an international team of neurodiverse creatives, the film reflects the lived experiences of Autistic adults—many of whom may have spent years feeling different without knowing why.

Inspired by participants in the Discovery Programme at Thriving Autistic, this film follows the journey from confusion to clarity, from feeling out of place to finding belonging and embracing an authentic Autistic identity.

This film is part of our commitment to shifting public understanding of being Autistic and sharing neurodivergent wisdom with the wider world.
