Tips for gastroparesis or slow stomach emptying:
No alcohol, caffeine, peppermint, chocolate, or carbonation
Limit high fat foods including fried/greasy foods, added oils, salad dressings, meat (red and processed meats), and dairy (cheese and milk).
Limit fiber from whole grains, raw vegetables, fruit skins/higher fiber fruits, and beans
Small, frequent meals, eat food at meals and drink fluids BETWEEN meals. Drink your calories such as smoothies and shakes, these will digest quicker. Stay sitting upright after meals and control your blood sugars if you have diabetes.
