Continuing through the cabin of the airplane, I'm making the seat bottoms and other linkage covers for the Van's RV7A. I also fasten in some linkage related hardware and work on control tunnel covers. (Sorry for the slightly misleading thumbnail/title--not enough room to be fully transparent...)
Happy with the work this time around, with solid rivets, consistent primer, and all around clean fabrication.
With some of this being relatively old footage, I'm now concerned I've sealed up a little too much space and worried about running all of the lines and wires for various avionics and other systems. But I'm putting a plan in place there and hopefully I won't be pulling all these piece back up soon.
------------
I'm Ryan, an aviation enthusiast who has decided to build his own aircraft and publish the entire process online for others to watch along. If you have ever want to build an airplane, this is a great glimpse at what it takes.
The airplane is a two-person experimental kit built aluminum plane capable of over 200 miles per hour, and a range of over 700 miles. The kit is manufactured by Van's Aircraft, one of the most prolific kit providers on the planet, now embroiled in a Chapter 11 reorganization process in order to prevent bankruptcy ;-). The airplane is aerobatic, functional, and fun. The build is challenging, time consuming, fun and rewarding.
