Bora Bora, the name says it all, one of the most beautiful islands on the planet and by far the most famous island of French Polynesia does not disappoint. The lagoon is just wow. The best thing to do is maybe to rent your own boat or to hire a captain to explore the azure blue waters (incl. manta and blacktip shark snorkeling). From the Motu - the surrounding islets - you have the best "Bora Bora" postcard views. What fascinated us was how easy it is to find your own isolated beach of paradise on an island that well-known. Also a nice experience was a day trip to one of the luxury resorts (the St.Regis). Such a trip is, if played right, very good value-for-money. :)
