Latching baby and Breastfeeding successfully

We often think breastfeeding, baby latching and sucking are the most natural behaviours and every newborn should be able to do it without much effort.

Well, Yes and No. Apparently it is extremely natural, almost like a reflux, but also a learnt behaviour that require effort from both the mother and the baby.

A lot of moms encounter the problem of baby failing to latch or latching optimally.

Here are 3 common reasons for baby not latching well.

1. Mother's nipples could be inverted, flat or large. The shape of the nipple greatly affects the baby's ability to latch.
