Anyway back to the Video, That's why you're here I guess!!

With the 2022 FunFair season almost upon us in the UK join us for the first footage of 2022 from what can only be described as a BIG surprise for 2022 so early in the season. Yes Nottingham has suffered somewhat during the on going pandemic over the last 2 years especially when it came to Travelling Funfairs what with Goose Fair being cancelled for the past 2 years. Well this year things are on the UP with the announcement of The Nottingham Valentines Fair a first for the City in probably what is 20 years I'm not 100% sure but it's been a long time overdue.
With the Nottingham Valentines Fair making a return we thought it was only fitting the channel gave it the coverage it deserves so we ventured down to check out the ride lineup for 2022 and include some Build Up footage throughout the next couple of days along with our usual take on covering the Funfair with a entertaining Vlog once the Funfair is open.
This year the Nottingham Valentines Fair takes place in a new location just outside the City at Nottingham Racecourse at Colwick Park and it opens on Friday 11th February through till 20th February 2022 daily. Free on site parking is available along with frequent buses to and from the location. I believe there's a £1 entry fee per person but this is yet to be confirmed.
In this video I just let the camera do the talking as we capture Build up footage throughout the day so you can get a feel as to how these great rides are put together and it also shows how much hard work goes into a Build Up from all the showmen and gaffs involved. This footage was captured in 4K so if you are watching on a TV be sure to check and alter settings for the best viewing experience.
It's great to see Nottingham Valentines Fair back for 2022 and a BIG thanks to the organisers Albert Evan's and Jan DeKonning who are the organisers for this years event. In terms of the footage captured on Day 1 there was quite a bit of activity however some rides was already built up before we arrived. We did capture plenty though including plenty of lorry movement, A big chunk of footage was the construction of the Jan DeKonning Big Wheel which was really interesting to see being constructed. Also footage of Darren Matthew's Fairtrade Waltzer being constructed which I'm glad we got to see because the way it's constructed is different from say a Maxwell Waltzer. Along with this there is plenty to see throughout as you see the Funfair transform throughout our time there. Some rides are still to arrive but so far the lineup looks strong including a Matterhorn, StarFlyer, Miami, Fun House, Tagada, Dodgems, MegaSpin, Frog Hopper, Wheel, Waltzer, Hang Over and many more.
