Some Coast Opposition leaders allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have embraced the unity move between their leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta and vowed to back Deputy President William Ruto for the country’s presidency in 2022 General Election. The leaders included governor Granton Samboja (Taita Taveta), MPs Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Ali Mbogo (Kisauni), Lydia Haika (Women Rep, Taita Taveta), Jones Mlolwa (Voi) and Danson Mwashako (Wundanyi). Speaking in Ruto’s presence at the St Barnabas Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), Voi, Ms Jumwa said as Coast MPs they have faith in the deputy president to take over after President Uhuru’s term in office lapses.
