Yet another R.E.M.-inspired song. This time, I'm going deep into R.E.M. topics that were often a major focus in their songs: Sorrow, Grief, and Loss.

Tracks like "Everybody Hurts" reach out to the suffering, "Losing My Religion" captures that raw feeling of unreturned emotion, while "Try Not To Breathe" and "Sweetness Follows" have a direct conversation with death and what remains after loss. These are songs that stay with me over the decades; they come to mind whenever I lose a loved one. So this is my attempt at taking on today's issues, where too many people in the USA are lost due to illness, wars, and guns.
