The Orchid Show: Mexican Modernism at the New York Botanical Garden (February 15–April 27, 2025) celebrates the bold aesthetics of Mexican modernist architect Luis Barragán. Featuring thousands of vibrant orchids artfully arranged among colorful displays inspired by Mexico’s rich cultural and ecological heritage, the exhibit blends traditional elements with contemporary artistry, including native flora such as agave and cacti. Complementing the floral designs, photography by Mexican-American artist Martirene Alcántara highlights Barragán’s iconic architecture. Additionally, special Orchid Nights offer an evening experience with Mexican music and refreshments. Tickets are available through the New York Botanical Garden's website.
