SPECIAL: Merlin Am I (Young Merlin, Arthur, Uther, Ygraine, Hunith, Balinor and Morgana)

Ever since I have seen this video I wanted to make a Merlin video to this song. This was years before Merlin ended. I needed FOUR YEARS to cope with the finale and edit with the canon ending. Now I finally have the time and muse to do so. I can tell you: It was very hard to find younger actors that resemble the characters and wear medieval clothing!

PLOT:
I used the original legend, but interpreted it in a way to fit the Series’ canon. The High King is Uther, not Vortigern.

Balinor, the last Dragonlord, is hunted by Uther and flees to Ealdor, where he meets Hunith. They spend a wonderful time, but Balinor is still hunted and leaves, not knowing that Hunith is pregnant.
9 months later Merlin is born and Hunith is shocked as she sees the golden eyes at his birth.
As Balinor dies in Merlins arms he sees Hunith’s face in front of him.
About 8 years after Merlin is born Uther wants to build a tower, but it breaks down constantly. Despite being at war with magic, Uther asks the Druids for help, who demand a human sacrifice. Merlin is abducted and Arthur, the young Prince, watches, not ready to see someone die. But Merlin sees through the earth and the reason the tower is collapsing: Two dragons are living underneath and he also sees how Uther once claimed Camelot from the king before him, being crowned the new king not much later.
The next flashback is Uther during the Great Purge. With every death sentence he remembers how Nimue took Ygraine from him.
Merlin grows to become a powerful sorcerer, but looses many loved ones along the way, most of all Arthur. After Camlan Merlin falls in a deep depression and runs from the Knights of Camelot, fearing he will be killed because of his magic and being made responsible for Arthur’s death.One night he hears a voice in the forest, calling him “Emrys”. Following it to the Crystal Cave he sees that Arthur will soon return.
Merlin lives in the forest for years, growing old, lonely and bitter. When he is near the Crystal cave he meets his past self, following him into the cave and becoming young again.
After being wounded in a fight Merlin is carried away and healed by Kilgharrah, telling him to wake up.
Suddenly he awakes in his chamber in Camelot, having been granted a Second Chance by Fate.
