Many of us train in the middle of the day with great light, but then go hunting in the early morning or evening times. There is a big difference in the quality picture we see through our scope between those two time frames or light settings.
First tip is just simply zooming your magnification down to a lower setting. This will allow for more light and make the picture in your scope appear brighter.
A more permanent solution is selecting a scope with a large objective lens and tube. This will allow more light into the scope which again will make for a clearer picture in lower light settings.
In this video, please note that the camera's auto-focus and contrast settings make the scene appear brighter than it actually was outside. While we were looking through the scope, the camera constantly struggled to adjust the picture. In some shots, you can see that when I'm taking the shot, the image is bright, but my face appears blurry and grainy. This is due to the low lighting conditions. To truly grasp what I'm discussing, I recommend trying it yourself in a safe manner with your own setup to gain a better understanding
