To commemorate the 105th birth anniversary of the legendary Sitar Maestro Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar, Shruti Gunjan LLP gave a live performance of Ragas 5 ragas created by Pandit Ravi Shankar followed by some songs he gave music to as a music director in a few Hindi films. The concert was performed in Ganesh hall in Pune and we had the renowned Drupad artist Pt. Uday Bhawalkar as Chief Guest. Pandit Amarendra Dhaneshwar the renowned musicologist narrated incidents from Pt. Ravi Shankars life, from early childhood to his later years as a world famous musician.
The third raga in this series performed by Shri. Chandrashekharji is Rasiya in Vilambit Teental and Drut Teental. Pt. Chandrashekharji is accompanied by his team comprising of Dr. Sujata Bhat, Vijay Jaganathan, Rupali Nimbalkar, Varun Dixit and Kavita Maurya. Accompanying them on the tabla is Shri. Sameer Suryavanshi. The singer singing the songs composed by Pt. Ravi Shankar is Smt. Shruti Karandikar with Shri. Kumar Karandikar on the harmonium.
