No visit to The Cotswolds could be complete without a visit to Tetbury for a look around or to visit the famous Chipping Steps tourist attraction. Here you'll find beautiful houses and homes, lovely pubs and inns, shops and tourist attractions to explore.

Set in an area of outstanding beauty, Tetbury is the second largest town in the Cotswolds and home to Prince Charles the prince of wales so there's a royal connection too.

With it's boutique shops, antique shops, hotels and restaurants it's a popular stop for anyone exploring the area and the Chipping Steps provide a fantastic photo opportunity for anyone wanting photos of a beautiful and picturesque hill with lovely cottages lining the steps.

In the town you will find the Tetbury Police Museum, the Tetbury Market House (also known as Town Hall) and St Mary's Church with it's impressive spire that can be seen from miles around.

We parked in The Chipping Car park (which I'd highly recommend) and right next to the carpark are the Chipping Steps which is one of the most photographed places in the Cotswolds and great for photographers.

Tetbury is set in a conservation area and many buildings are graded listed buildings. Beautiful and of course being in this area they're made of the famous Cotswolds stone!

The Market House is set right in the middle of Tetbury and is a grade I listed building that was built back in 1655 by Tetbury Feoffees. It's had many uses including sales of wool, and was even a lock up before the police station was built in the town. The Market Hall is still used today with exhibitions, sales and craft fairs taking place here each week.

Just up the road is Highgrove, the home of The Prince Of Wales Prince Charles. He moved to Tetbury in 1980 and has been here ever since.

Princess Anne also lives closed to Tetbury, living just sixe miles away at Gatcombe Park.
