There are many things that I lack. There are things that I might never attain ever, ever. But all things that I must attain are already in Christ. And I am in Christ. So when I pray, I don't pray so that I might be given. I am praying in Christ to know... to know and flow with what Christ has already achieved for me inside him. That is why he's saying but I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ has already laid hold of me. In other words, Paul is saying when Christ arrested me, he was referring to that Acts 9. When Christ arrested me on the road to Damascus, when he arrested me, everything that heaven had purposed that I become and I have was already in the Christ who called my name. Now my desire why I pray is that I may know him... and that I may be found in him
