The Origins of Pokémon's Hearthome City | Pioneers, Horses, & History

An icon of the series of games that introduced it, Hearthome City is the access point to the eastern half of Sinnoh. Unlike some cities that are more short stops between routes, Hearthome itself presents a variety of attractions to keep your attention, from the Super Pokemon Contest to the novelty of Amity Square. Hearthome inspirations appear to draw both from the Tokachi sub-prefecture and its capital city: Obihiro.
