In this story, we are confronted with a woman named Betul; A patient and devoted woman who has lived with the young engineer for many years and has been the result of a few children, including Maral. Betul dedicated his life to his family, while her husband has gradually distanced from her and has been caught up in pride, ambition and betrayal. The young engineer, who once seemed a respected and successful man, was trapped in external temptations and married another woman.

Despite the deep suffering of betrayal, Betul has decided to stay in their old house and make a calm and decent life with twins and maral. But his apparent relaxation disappears with the arrival of police and municipal officers; They inform him that the house should be evacuated because the land is a new road crossing and the municipality has ruled.

Betul, who has no shelter, is trying to convince the agents to give him a chance; He doesn't miss his house and his memories. The walls of this house have witnessed the childhoods of its children, the romance of the past, and the years of suffering. But the law is more cruel to soften.

At the height of this crisis, the young engineer suddenly returns. He is no longer the proud man of the past - he is defeated, helpless and sad. In a trembling voice, Betul tells Batul that he was deceived, with all his capital scamped him and his second wife left him. He is now reminded of his true family and asks Batul to give him a chance.
