The main characters are above the law. They are a group of Federal Drug Control Service officers wallowed in criminal activities. But the criminal scheme worked out by the experienced team begins to fail. There appears to be a mole reporting directly to the Federal Security Service (FSB; formerly KGB). When Pepl ("Ash") finds himself in a life-threatening situation, he starts rethinking about his existence for the first time ever. Once he begins to think, he can not go back to his former self. The team begins to suspect that he is the mole. The former coworkers turn into mortal enemies.

An uncompromising crime thriller on the theme of "friends or foes". The protagonist of the film with an unusual nickname Pepl ("Ash") is an employee of the Federal Drug Control Service, who together with his colleagues, covers up the illegal distribution of drugs. However, the coordinated scheme of the work of the group of "werewolves in uniform" fails - the participants of the frauds have a suspicion that there is an FSB (Federal Security Service) informant among them. Such serious problems at work are superimposed on Pepl's difficult relationship with his wife. In the course of his reflections on his own life, he becomes increasingly depressed and alienated from his colleagues. They decide that Pepl is the one secretly working for the FSB, and begin a ruthless persecution. Pepl has to fight for his life...Will the hero escape from pursuit? Will he find a new meaning in life?
