Bead Roller Table

In today's project Dave created a table for the bead roller. There are couple of bigger projects coming up that Dave is going to need a little more support holding the pieces while feeding it through the bead roller. Off camera Dave set up for the project by figuring out his design, cutting up some metal, and making a template for the table top. First Dave used his drill press to put a couple of holes in the two pieces of metal he is going to use to sandwich the table to the bead roller. He then decided to tap one of the pieces but only ended up doing one of the two holes after it took two taps and some vice grips to get just one hole tapped. Dave grabbed his drill and added two holes to the top portion of the machine and was able to mount the two pieces with some bolts. Using the chop box, Dave cut a few more pieces and welded them to the mount creating a structure for the table top to sit on. Dave pulled everything off the bead roller to weld it all up solid and added another brace to it just to make sure the weight stays on the table and not the machine. Next step is to trace and cut out the table top. Check to see if it is going to fit and then figure out where Dave wants to put bead rolls in the bead roll table. Marked out both top and bottom of the table top and ran it through the English Wheel. After it was rolled out Dave and Colleen worked together to put all the beads in the table top. Once all the bead were where Dave wanted them, they used the 3 and 1 to put a bend in around the edge. Dave used the hammer and dolly to make sure the corners were nice and straight. Then off camera Dave spot welded the table top to the base and decided on how he wanted to paint it. The bottom and brace went a blue and then the top was coated in a mat clear. Dave did a quick test by putting a simple bead around a piece of metal to give it a license plate look. Successful test and the bead roller now has a nice table top to help with the bigger projects.
