Hiking Canyon de Chelly Cliffs | Arizona

This video captures a walk along the overlooks and rim areas of Canyon de Chelly National Monument in northeastern Arizona, filmed during springtime when daytime temperatures begin to warm but the high desert landscape is still transitioning from winter. In this season, vegetation along the canyon rim remains sparse, with scattered juniper, sagebrush, and early buds appearing depending on recent rainfall. The canyon itself reveals layered sandstone walls shaped by erosion over thousands of years, and at the base of the cliffs the stark desert contrasts with greener patches along the canyon floor where cottonwoods and agricultural fields benefit from seasonal snowmelt and spring water flow. The video presents the cliffs, overlooks, and surrounding desert terrain without narration, providing an uninterrupted sense of the quiet surroundings and the vast open spaces characteristic of this region in spring.
