Gigantomastia or breast hypertrophy is a condition that causes excessive growth of female breasts. It is a benign- non-cancerous condition however, it can result in physical symptoms such as back-pain, breast pain, posture problems and even infection.
Makena Mugaa was diagnosed with Gigantomastia and underwent breast reduction, following multiple shoulder dislocations, as a result of this condition.
In the second part of this episode, she shares about choosing not pursue a career in banking, despite being a trained advocate of the Kenya High Court, and instead setting up the Gigantomastia Foundation to help other Kenyans suffering from this condition.
