This little combo here gives you a beginners look at fabric theory! Exploring what I like to call "evolving sequences" which are sequences that work as transitions themselves and take you from one place to the next seamlessly (as opposed to wrapping up, and unwrapping the pathway you just traveled) can help to further your vocabulary in Aerial Silks and assist you in "speaking fluently." This combination starts with a hipkey, which is immediately turned into a thigh hitch simply by passing the tail from one side of your body to the other. From there, wraps are created on the back, as well as a wrap on the leg that creates a drop which takes us to Jacob's Ladder. There are a multitude of combos and drops that originate from Jacob's Ladder, meaning this sequence could continue on rather seamlessly without need to unwrap entirely. Exciting and fun!
A good practice is to think of how many moves you can string together with the poses and sequences you already know. This will build endurance and creativity in the air. You also may end up discovering your own new pathway!
