Malaga´s historic center streets are basically narrow and impressive. Taking a walk around this area is pleasant with an atmosphere full of outdoor seating at bars and restaurants becoming the star of the show.

The Roman Theatre of Malaga was discovered in 1951 during construction work to create a garden area. At first, the remains found were identified as one of the gates in the wall. Shortly afterwards it was discovered that it was actually the Aditus Maximus of a theatre building from the Roman period.
It is a medium-sized theatre that preserves a large part of the cavea or seating, the orchestra richly decorated with large marble slabs, and the scaena, whose floor has now been reproduced with a wooden platform as it would have been when it was in use. The stage apparatus would close at the back with an ornamental façade decorated with openings, columns and sculptures, of which several examples have been recovered.
The Roman theatre of Malaga has been declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) with the category of Artistic Monument
