*Zachary Mason – Artist Bio*

"5...4...3...2...1..." is the latest EP from **Zachary Mason**, a 28-year-old artist based in Guildford, UK. The release features three tracks that blend elements of **space rock**, **psychedelic rock**, and **experimental music**. The EP tells a continuous story of humanity’s flight from a dying Earth in an attempt to colonize Mars. While filled with humor and quirkiness, it also carries moments of thoughtful reflection.

The project features **Nate Barnes**, member of the critically acclaimed rock band *Rose Hill Drive*, on drums, and **John Thomasson**, bassist for *Little Big Town*, on tracks one and two. Zachary recorded and produced the EP himself, creating a soundscape that is as imaginative as it is cinematic. He hopes listeners enjoy the experience and feel inspired to share it with others.

Since the spring of 2021, Zachary has written and recorded over *200 demo tracks* using a recording kit gifted to him by a relative. His music spans multiple genres, incorporating *acoustic and electric guitars* as well as **keyboards**. His work has been featured by outlets such as *TJPL News*, *The Big Takeover*, *Rolling Stone En Español*, *1111CR3W*, *Cage Riot*, *M.E.I. News*, and *Yuva.Official*, among others.

In 2025, Zachary was featured in an interview with SPIN Magazine*. His single **“I Wish Humans Were Made in a Factory…”* reached *No. 13* on Groover’s charts*, while **“I’ll Get Through”* charted at *No. 41* and *No. 93* on the indie radio charts in 2024. Several of his tracks have been accepted into the catalogues of prestigious sync companies, including *YTINIFNI Pictures* and **Relva Music**, a Brazilian film and TV company.

Influenced by legendary artists such as *Neil Young**, **Bob Dylan**, **Leonard Cohen**, and **The Beatles**, Zachary continues to evolve his sound and storytelling style. In addition to his music career, he also writes under his real name, **Daniel Macintyre**, and showcases his literary work on *scribblings.uk (Scribbles)*. His poetry and prose have been published online by *Fevers of the Mind and other literary platforms.
