Doing a cover of Whitney Houston was in my mind since a very long time.
Among her several hits I chose this single from her 1985 debut album, because it is the perfect example of her astonishing vocals: the mastery and purity of her voice, the way she effortlessly hits insane notes, the way she easily flows from light sweet moments to powerful intense ones.
She was just singing in a different league.
