As the title says, this is a VERY large platter (18") made from a single piece of Buckeye burl cast in TotalBoat Thickset Resin (use code CASwood at http://www.totalboat.com for 15% off your purchase). It has great figuring and the blue epoxy, combined with some air bubbles that I fully expected to issue from the burl, made for a very cool sea scene. It has a couple of rough spots from the air bubbles and from the parts of the burl that the resin couldn't get into, but I love the result.
