BOUDICCA: RISE is an epic cinematic song inspired by one of Britain’s most legendary leaders.

Who was Boudicca?
Boudicca (queen of the Iceni, in what’s now East Anglia) led a major uprising against Roman rule in Britain around 60–61 CE.

After her husband Prasutagus died, Roman actions against her family and people helped ignite the revolt; ancient sources describe Boudicca being flogged and her daughters assaulted.

Her forces destroyed major Roman settlements including Camulodunum (Colchester) and Londinium (London) before the rebellion was ultimately defeated.
