Step 1: Unlock and Locate the Biome
Upgrade Campfire: To access the new mini-biome, you must first upgrade your campfire to unlock the map expansion.
Find the Tree: Look for the large Mother Tree icon on your map. The biome is inhabited by Fairies and a new enemy type called Mushroom Wolves.
Step 2: Collect Acorns
Hunt Mushroom Wolves: These new wolves spawn throughout the Fairy Biome and have an acorn visible on their heads.
Gather Resources: Kill these wolves to collect Acorns. You will need several to fully grow the tree's roots.
Step 3: Revive the Mother Tree
Plant Acorns: Locate the three broken, unfinished roots at the base of the Great Tree.
Connect to Water: Use the "Plant" action to place acorns near these roots. This causes the roots to instantly grow toward the nearest Enchanted Pools (water sources).
Maximize Distance: You can drag the root beam out as far as possible before planting to save on the total number of acorns needed.
Complete the Connection: Once all three roots are connected to separate water sources, the Mother Tree will finish growing and fully revive.
Step 4: Rewards and New Content
Unlock the Blue Chest: Reviving the tree unlocks a blue chest at its base.
Enchanted Farm Plot: The chest always contains an Enchanted Farm Tablet, which can be used at a crafting bench to create an Enchanted Farm Plot.
Rare Loot: The chest also has a chance to drop a Strong Axe or the Morningstar weapon.
New Trading Items: The Fairy NPC outside the Mushroom House now sells new items, including Strawberries and specialized seed boxes.
Pro-Tip: You can also harvest Brightwood from the new trees in this biome; they only require three taps to cut down and provide a high volume of logs and saplings.
