Lalish - the main temple of the Yazeedi who are such nice and welcoming people.
Alqosh - a Christian village close to Mosul by the border with federal Iraq with beautiful historical Christian churches and monasteries.
Overall I really enjoyed Kurdistan even when there were some downs. It's generally a safe place even for women and hitchhikers but don't let your guard down...
