Meet the Hot Air Airship also known as the Thermal Blimp - this hybrid aircraft combines the aerodynamics of Helium and Hydrogen airships of old, with the modern technologies of Nylon and Propane to create an Airship which is a combination on Hot Air balloon and Microlight.
Combining the technologies of petrol pressurisation fan, Rotax Microlight engine and Propane burners of a hot air balloon in the gondola, and years of refinement in Hot air balloon fabrics and Special Shape building - This is one of a short production run (9) made by the Lindstrand company based in Oswestry Shropshire.
At a volume of 110,000ft3 the airship carries pilot +1 and is seen here being tested and prepared for flight after a long storage.
