The Locke Mountain Triple at Sunday River Maine is a three-person triple that brings riders to the top of Locke Mountain. Once the only peak on the mountain, the Locke triple was built to replace the two t-bars that Sunday River first installed back in 1959. Locke has a special use during the early season, as it's mid-station is used as a halfway point for riders to load or download when most trails are not open top-to-bottom. T2 or Upper Sunday Punch are generally the first trails open during the first couple weeks of operation. After usage during the early season, the mid-station ramp is lowered and non-functional for the rest of the winter.
