This is Cattleya nobilior. A new favorite species orchid of mine.....who am I kidding?! They are all my favorite! This one has a lovely bluesh-purple color to the petals. I'm looking forward to the next set of blooms this orchid produces as temperature can affect color. Typically these orchids bloom in the winter time, but the fact that this orchid is imported confused the poor thing :)
