This video shows aviator Mikael Carlson doing a test flight in the Pfalz D.VIII he has built. This aircraft, just like the Fokker Dr.1 and Fokker D.VII he has built, is arguably not a replica but an actual carbon copy of the plane as it flew in WW1 down to the last nuts and bolts. In addition, this particular aircraft is equipped with an original Siemens Halske IIIa engine restored by Mikael Carlson himself.
