Sotavento in Fuerteventura offers windsurfing holidays and kitesurfing holidays in one of the most famous venues in the world, because of its unique wind conditions and annual World Cup events. Although the second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is the least populated. Aptly named, the literal translation of ‘fuerte' being ‘strong' and ‘ventura' describing the ‘accelerated winds'. Our windsurf and kitesurf centres are based next to the huge Sotavento lagoon. With additional windsurf and kitesurf centres at the southern end of the lagoon in Risco del Paso and on the beach in Costa Calma with excursions to Matas Blancas bay.
