joyous news, i am posting one of these at a time that ISN'T some ungodly hour of the night! midnight isn't great, but um. it's a step up from 2-5AM at least? i actually ended up completing this at the request of a friend who i'd gotten into ALNST very recently. he told me he loved my other mashups, and asked if i thought i'd be able to pull one off with this song that was alternating and key corrected

after multiple hours of agonizing over how different the key of the mizi version was, i was complaining about how shitty i made ivan sound to a friend and he suggested i just simply raise the pitch of mizi by one octave instead of trying to match ivan and mizi's keys to a tee. i was on the brink of giving up, so i figured i might as well try it and when i say i was appalled by how well it worked (at least for the harmonies) i mean i was APPALLED. i really didn't expect for this one to turn out so well!! i know it's not perfect, but this is the best i could do for now.. i'm done ripping my hair out over it not meeting the usual standard i have when i work on these mashups, i hope you guys end up liking it :')

no direct reuploading this somewhere allowed, BUT if you want to make an animatic or edit using my duet, feel free to - please just show it to me!!! it would make me so happy considering how badly this duet has been eating at my brain since i finished it tbh. credits / linking back to me would OBVIOUSLY be appreciated just because i love alien stage and i love opening the floor to conversation about it, but if you don't, ultimately the only thing i can do is be disappointed about it at the end of the day (as it is just a silly little duet that i do not have the rights to)

EDIT:
so i did modify mizi's key (in a way that i THOUGHT worked with ivan's vocals) but have been informed by a couple commenters that even though changes were made, i did not CORRECT the key and that there is still dissonance! someone provided me with detailed feedback on how to actually go about fixing it, so i changed the title to be less misleading while i work on an ACTUAL key corrected version. it'll probably have the same lyric distribution between mizi and ivan, but sound wayyyy better. once that's done and uploaded, i will prob end up unlisting this version :3
