In 1997, Universal and Renaissance Pictures had a killer two hour block of television programming with Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess airing back to back. After the successful crossover episode on Xena entitled Prometheus with all 4 heroes involved, it was only a matter of time before the Hercules crew produced their own installment. It turned out to be the third part of a trilogy retelling the story of the Golden Hind. How did it begin, and where did it take us as viewers?
