Vintage Complicated Patek Philippe Watches You Can Buy Now

In this video, John Reardon presents a selection of vintage complicated Patek Philippe watches that you don’t have to try and get onto a long waiting-list to buy. One of the many advantages of buying a complicated vintage watch is that they are often a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy. For example, John presents two steel Patek Philippe chronographs ref. 130A which rarely come onto the market but are available now. Of the 270 known examples of a steel ref. 130 ever made, only 100 have ever come up for sale making these two watches an exceptional chance to buy. Also presented is a Patek Philippe ref. 2597J, an early travel time made in 1960. Known as the “Cross Country’ in the USA, this watch originally retailed for $1000 which was a hefty price tag when you consider that a Patek Philippe ref. 1518, a grail watch for serious collectors, retailed for $1500 in 1958. Of the estimated 75 ref. 2597J watches made, only 48 pieces have been known to come up for sale. Finally, John presents two ref. 3970 perpetual calendar chronograph watches which are becoming an important watch for collectors.
