In this period, in recent years, the trend of Techno music has returned to high bpm, with the solid base that refers to the old school "Detroit" sounds of the beginning, and to all that Techno between the 90s and early 2000s, however mixed with more modern elements and a more refined mixing and mastering system than at the time.

In light of that, here is an old school set from Richie Hawtin way back in 1998.

You will notice the similarities, but also the differences between the music played in that era, and Mr. Hawtin's mixing style.. of how it has evolved over time, but also of how music is cyclical over time and how today we have gone back to removing the dust from the old drawers, re-proposing a good part of those pure Techno sounds.
