This adventure took us deep into Idaho’s backcountry. From Yellowstone and the Tetons, we pushed west into the Lemhi Range, climbing nearly 9,000 feet to a hidden alpine lake before continuing on into the rugged Lost River Range — home to Idaho’s tallest peaks.

Along the way we crossed boggy trails, rocky climbs, and narrow descents, camped beside mountain creeks, and found the solitude we were searching for. Outfitted with the Safari ARMAX Snorkel and the FSR Aspen Lite rooftop tent, the 4Runner was built for exactly this kind of trip.

This is overlanding in Idaho — remote, raw, and unforgettable.
