It's 27th of November 2025 and I'm at my second ever gig at the Engine Shed in Lincoln, which is actually the original locomotive shed - part of the railway complex that was bought up and converted by Lincoln University in the early 2000s.
Welcome to Part 2 of Peter Hook & the Light - the legend Peter Hook, once of Joy Division fame, and later New Order, but since 2010, playing with a new bunch of musicians.
The whole show, including support, was well over two hours long, with a set list of 30 tracks! I managed to capture about 40 mins worth, until my vintage iPhone 6S died a death 😀
I've split up the footage into two parts 😎
If you want to see Part 1 first it's here: • Peter Hook & the Light live at The Engine ...
For Part 2, we see the band close the first set with:
Run Wild (excerpt) - complete with blue light 'ghosting' effects!
followed by a short burst of Brutal (from the soundtrack to the cult film The Beach), and then Here to Stay (from the film 24 Hour Party People).
The footage then cuts to the start of the second set, which kicked off with a bunch of Joy Division songs, dedicated to the late Ian Curtis.
I recorded part or all of the following numbers:
Dead Souls (from 1981 compilation album 'Still')
Komakino (excerpt - 1980 single)
New Dawn Fades (excerpt - from 1979 debut album 'Unknown Pleasures')
Novelty (excerpt - the B-side of Transmission)
unfortunately, the battery in my iPhone 6S decided to die during this track!
The band members are:
Peter Hook (bass and vocals)
David Potts (lead guitar and vocals)
Jack Bates (bass) - Peter Hook's son
Paul Kehoe (drums)
Martin Rebelshi (keyboards and laptop synth!)
I believe third bass player Fred Sabian?
