IBCLC explains a natural feeding position for newborns that allows them to take bottles in sidelying position (similar to the "cross-cradle" hold used for breastfeeding). This is a gentle way to pace bottle feeds, reduce gulping/air swallowing, and teach feeding skills. It may reduce baby's confusion alternating between breast and bottle.
