Watch me destroy 24 of my Etch A Sketch drawings

Hey everyone! Here's something a little bit different - in lieu of etching new art, watch me destroy a bunch of old art instead! Weeeee!

This was a rather cathartic video to make. It was nice to give a moment to each rendition I erased and essentially say goodbye to it. Each rendition had a story and a memory associated with it, and I'm glad to have given them one more moment in the spotlight before shaking them away.

What better time for all these new blank canvases than now, with the blank canvas of a new year and a new home? Since filming this video I left Chicago and now officially live in Maryland. It was really sad to go, especially because I didn't get to really give the city the proper goodbye that I wanted to. But I take comfort in knowing that in a post-pandemic world, I can come back to safely visit and see all the people and do all the things that I longed to do before I left.
