Symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome

Dr. Richard Simon, Ophthalmologist with Baptist Outpatient Services, says computers seem to give you a lot of aggravation involving your eyes, from itching, burning, headaches, among others. Blurred vision, double vision, dry and red eyes, eye irritation, headaches, and neck or back pain are some of the symptoms of computer vision syndrome.

He explains being in front of your computer for a long time of period causes people to not blink as much, so you can get a drier eye, for example. He recommends taking breaks, to close your eyes from a moment, blink your eyes, and using artificial tear drops.
