With the recent problems with Coffee Leaf Rust (Roya), Owner Christian Schaps shows that diligent pruning techniques can help rebuild the coffee tree. This specific technique is called esqueliteco (skeletal) in which the bottom part of the tree is stripped completely. This will allow for better aeration, protection from roya, and healthy growth in the future.
