no#sportscards #tradingcards #collecting the age old question is opening retail sports cards profitable and the short answer is no not for most of us it's not...I had to make a video about it guys I just opened three boxes of 2024 optic football and a box of select football I did absolutely awful terrible and you know I was just considering what I could have for the cost of these boxes at retail cost which is what I paid and it totaled about $150 so I'm kind of just trying to illustrate what singles I could have purchased for that price cards that I would have had in my PC and I could have had some nice cards to add to the collection I could have bought three or four rookie quarterbacks on the purple shock parallels probably for less than $100 but at 150 I didn't pull any out of my boxes and the harsh reality of retail in 2024 2025 and beyond is Panini knows the guys that were chasing so on parallels they're a lot more rare then other players... there's a better way to collect and that's buying singles I'm not saying never buy boxes cuz it's fun to open one every now and again but just like gambling or lottery tickets those type of things it's something that should be done in moderation... you could pick up a lot of very good autographs even rookie autographs for $150 and under you could pick up Legends autographs some really nice cards and have something to show for it but when you're opening a retail box you're taking a Gamble.. and it seems like the house usually wins so if you guys like sports cards if you like trading cards what do you guys think about buying singles and I'm interested in your guys's thoughts on collecting The Hobby and trading cards everyone's welcome and I welcome all opinions just keep it respectful that's all I ask! shout out ‪@SLVRsport‬
