Today I'm going to show you how to make this cherry & almond load cake. Think of it as a cherry bakewell tart in cake form - YUM!
Ingredients
Cake:
190g caster sugar
190g butter
3 large eggs
125g ground almonds
65g self raising flour
1/2tsp baking powder
1/2tsp vanilla extract
1/2tsp almond extract
Cherry jam/conserve
Toppings:
Around 2-3tbsp icing sugar
Water
A few drops of vanilla extract and almond extract
Flaked almonds
Cherry jam/conserve
