Shut Up and Dance | Cardinal Ballet Company 2021

Reimagined for a virtual performance after quarantine spread CBC dancers across the country, Stephanie Chang's "Shut Up and Dance" builds on the irresistable urge we all have sometimes to get up and dance. That theme of the freedom and escape dance provides has never been more relevant, as dancers rehearsed and filmed from different cities across the country and globe. The "dance until you drop" piece is just what some of us need while we wait until the studio and stage open up, and hopefully it pushes you to get up and dancing too.

Cardinal Ballet Company (CBC) is Stanford’s first and only ballet company. Founded in 1993 and completely student-run, CBC is composed of dancers from diverse backgrounds, including those with professional ballet and contemporary training. In addition to our 2 major ballet productions every year (the Nutcracker in the fall and a full-length ballet in the spring), we also offer opportunities for student choreography in various dance forms. Our mission is to bring dancers together who love performing and share our art with the community.
